This method lets you put a photo calendar
between your Home page and your Event pages.
The time slices are years in the biography, but clicking on the small thumbnail of the sports car in the Travel category displays a photo calendar of the August, ‘77 vacation. From the calendar, the viewer may go to the Event Page(s) for any day of the vacation. Each day may have as many Event Pages as necessary. The navigation arrows on these pages move you forward or back in time, or return you to the calendar.
Other ways to use the calendar.
When you have more information than can be detailed with a few photos: Events leading up to and including a wedding, a birth, an important project... any very important couple of weeks or months.
Or, create a separate Project for each vacation...

Make interactive timelines to share vacation photos...
using
days
for
the time slice grid.
In this example, note that the time slices are days. Imagine how much easier it will be to find a particular photo or memory to share... (compared to a slide show, for example). That’s because events are seen in context, as the user browses across the categories, and vertically to any day in the vacation... then selects the thumbnail photo which will take her directly to the page about that subject, day, and photos. You get to choose your own category headings (up to twelve), those shown here are just examples. They can be anything at all; Great meals, Worst cab rides, Best surfing. The bold headings create an obvious table of contents, as each small photo is an interactive link to more information about that subject. Now, instead of putting your guests to sleep with your vacation pictures, they can participate by choosing where to go next.
